![]() You’ll need to find the central coax junction, get the room’s coax line identified ( see here), connected (ideally using MoCA-compatible components), and ensure that a “PoE” MoCA filter is properly installed on the top-level splitter at the junction, to secure and strengthen the MoCA signals. If the adapters could connect when in the same room but not when the second adapter is moved to its targeted room, it would indicate that the second room’s coax outlet isn’t currently interconnected via the coax plant. Or did you just skip describing the results? Did the adapters provide a working connection in the suggested configuration and, if so, what was the measured throughput? This skipped over the suggestion from my initial reply, to test the adapters in the same room and assess connectivity & throughput. (The earlier bonded MoCA 2.0 Actiontec ECB6200 and old MoCA 1.1 ECB2500C had a pass-through the standard MoCA 2. The coax/MoCA status LED on a MoCA adapter only lights-up when a successful MoCA link with at least one other MoCA node has been established. The Actiontec MoCA 2.5 adapter lacks an RF pass-through port, but one MoCA 2.5 adapter w/ a pass-through is the goCoax MoCA 2.5 model. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theoryĪrris cable modem (also ethernetted to router)įor later reference, what’s the model # of the cable modem? u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more! Hitrons HTEM5 coax-to-Ethernet adapters work perfectly with Mesh WiFi to transform your existing coaxial cables into a 2.5 Gigabit strong and reliable wireless. If you can't find what you're looking for with the search function please feel free to post a new question after reading the rules. I checked the PHY rates when I connected all 3 adapters back and they are all bright green (showing MOCA 2.5 speeds). Please use the search function to look for keywords related to what you want to ask before posting since most common issues have been answered. I just spent 2 hours messing with the adapters and got absolutely nowhere.ġ: I tried putting them back in Extended Band-D again, and when I did that my Modem immediately dropped its WAN connection.Ģ: I saw there was a new firmware update, one of my 3 adapters apparently was on an old FW so I updated that one.ģ: I set them back up the way I had them (-Band-D High and LOF to 1350) This was true for WAN and LAN file transfers. You get new opportunities to monetize your networks via high-ARPU symmetrical. With a 10 Gigabit PON fiber interface (capable of supporting both EPON and XGS-PON), these high-powered devices deliver speeds up to 10 Gbps downstream and 10 Gbps upstream. Then today all of a sudden I'm capped at 16MBps(130mbps) over MOCA 2.5. Scale up to a future-ready network today with Hitron’s family of 10G PON ONT/ONU solutions. ![]() So after studying the frequency charts I ended up choosing Band-D High and setting the LOF to 1350. When I originally setup my GoCoax 2.5 adapters, I couldn't use Exteneded Band-D because of frequency overlap(DOCSIS 3.1 caps at 1218mhz, not 1005mhz like DOCSIS 3.0).
